Known for her passionate, driven style, this powerhouse vocalist consistently delivers standout performances - both live and in the studio, garnering awards and critical acclaim throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and South America.
Lovely's self-released albums (including her newest release FISH OUTTA WATER) have topped national and international blues and roots charts, and made the "Best of the Year" blues album lists for noted publications such as Downbeat Magazine, Roots Music Report, Living Blues and Blues Blast. She is a two time “#1 Pick to Click” artist on XM Radio Bluesville.

Lovely is a committed social activist: her songs address domestic violence, sexual abuse, homelessness, mental health, addiction, and suicide. She donated proceeds from pre-sales of Fish Outta Water to RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization, and includes links to domestic violence and sexual assault hotlines in each of her studio album liner notes.
She has performed at fundraisers for Planned Parenthood, the LGBTQ community, Shriner's for Children, CASA, Columbus Cancer Clinic, PAWS, PBS, NPR, and many other non-profit organizations. She has also donated proceeds from her album sales to numerous non-profit societies including Planned Parenthood, RAINN, Transgender Law Center, Blues Societies, and the Blues Foundation's HART FUND. In January 2018, Lovely was invited to be a guest speaker on Dr. Marie Trout's HART Fund panel on "Abuse, Addiction, and the Blues" held at the 2018 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
Karen Lovely shot onto the blues scene out of the Pacific Northwest like Stack O' Lee's .44 placing 2nd at the 2010 International Blues Challenge, immediately followed by three 2011 Blues Music Award Nominations for her sophomore release STILL THE RAIN.
Her follow up album, TEN MILES OF BAD ROAD, produced by Grammy winner Tony Braunagel, established Lovely as a singer/songwriter with a style uniquely her own, receiving nominations for the prestigious 2016 Blues Music Award for "Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist" and 2016 BluesBlast Award for "Best Female Artist". The album also won a 2015 Blues411 "Jimi" Award for "Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist" and was selected by Downbeat as one of the "Best Albums of 2016."
