Jules Leyhe

Second Show: 9:00pm
$35 Presale | $40 Day of Show
This ain’t your granddaddy’s blues—heck, it ain’t even your daddy’s blues. Guitarist Jules Leyhe is on an entirely different trip, juxtaposing futuristic elements with down-home tones. Leyhe has performed with with Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Jimmy Vivino, Fantastic Negrito, played the National Anthem at the Oakland Coliseum, and been featured in Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, and Vintage Guitar. Leyhe’s new album Your First Rodeo is a whimsical mashup of blues, hip-hop, fusion, rock and Latin music. Conceived and constructed using vivid fantasy, the Berklee grad imagined what it would sound like to pair signature elements from diametrically opposed artists. Picture Duane Allman jamming with jazz piano great Gil Evans, or Jimi Hendrix playing in Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Family Jules Band featuring saxophonist Nancy Wright, keyboardist Ian McArdle and drummer Isaac Schwartz brings a funky jazz flavor to Leyhe’s fantastical vision.

An evening with Mitch Woods
Doors @ 5:30pm |
First Show: 6:00 | Continues until 9:45pm
$10 Cover
Mitch Woods has been the torchbearer of a great American blues musical heritage, not for three years but three decades. Taking his inspiration from the great jump n’ boogie outfits of the late 40s and early 50s, he breathes fresh life into the music that gave birth to rock n’roll. Woods styled himself after the jumpin’ n’ jivin’, shoutin’ n’ honkin’, pumpin’ n’ poundin’ bands of Louis Jordan, Wynonie Harris, Joe and Jimmy Liggins, Amos Milburn, and Roy Milton. Adding a healthy dose of New Orleans rhythm and blues, piledrivin’ piano, and some of his own contemporary playful lyrics, Woods and His Rocket 88s forge their own brand of music they call “rock-a-boogie.”

An Evening with Jonn Del Toro Richardson
Doors Open for Dinner at 5:30pm
Live music from 6pm-9:45pm
Open for dinner and intimate acoustic sets
$10 admission cover
Jonn Del Toro Richardson grew up around Houston, Texas, and you can hear it in every note he sings and plays. You can hear the Latin music that is his birthright – his uncles, aunts and grandparents played in touring mariachi bands, and often got together to play on the back porch. You can also hear the influence of the country and R&B music that was played in his house, and particularly the blues that drifted strongly over his grandparents’ backyard fence from the next neighborhood and took hold with Jonn to be the centerpiece of his musical identity.
And now, Jonn steps up with his long-awaited personal debut, TENGO BLUES. Jonn wrote and sings all the songs, and his powereful guitar playing is featured throughout.
Don’t forget to come early for Happy Hour from 3:30-5:30PM before the show!
